Guidelines for Multimedia Submissions

Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submitting your work, please ensure the following:

  1. The submission has not been previously published or accepted for publication elsewhere.

  2. The submission is not currently under review at another journal.

 

Please prepare the following information to enter directly into the online submission system:

  • Cover page details: title of work, author names, author affiliations, author contact information, and author ORCID IDs.

  • Abstracts and keywords.

  • Acknowledgements.

  • If applicable, a short statement about funding sources and conflicts of interest.

 

Multimedia Submissions

  • All multimedia submissions must follow TSI's Guidelines for Multimedia Submissions.

  • Images must have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.

  • Podcast submissions (audio or video) must be no longer than 45 minutes.

  • Supplemental video submissions (e.g., short videos, video abstracts) must be no longer than 10 minutes.

  • Accepted video file formats: 3gp, asx, avi, f4v, flv, mkv, mov, mp4, mpg, wmv.

  • Accepted audio file formats: aac, ac3, aiff, flac, m4a, mp3, wav, wma.

  • Video submissions must include closed captions.

  • Audio submissions must include a separate transcript document.

 

Types of Multimedia Submissions

TSI accepts a range of multimedia formats, including:

  • Podcasts: Peer-reviewed podcasts sharing new research findings, data-informed practices, and community project evaluations. Both audio and video podcasts are accepted.

  • Infographics: Research findings and guidelines for data-informed practices and interventions impacting community well-being.

  • Supplemental Media: Video abstracts, short videos, and photograph series that complement manuscript submissions.

  • Podcast Proposals: Proposals for podcast episodes currently in development can be submitted for review and feedback.

How to Submit Multimedia Works

Please submit via the online submission system, providing author information and uploading the file(s). Please note that all multimedia submissions are peer-reviewed, and recommendations may include requests for revisions and edits.

Accessibility Standards

  • Audio-only files must have a text transcript.

  • Video files must include closed captions.

  • Images, tables, and figures must have appropriate alt text/captions.

  • Ensure all content has appropriate color contrast.
