Journal Sections:
Reviews Section
Transformative Social Impact publishes reviews of books, podcasts, websites, and other media that provide knowledge about current social issues, evidence-based solutions, and processes supporting community well-being. Reviewed materials may cover a range of disciplines, including social work, sociology, psychology, public health, civic engagement, public policy, education, and more. These media must present new research or evaluate existing work related to community-focused research and practice.
Review submissions are typically solicited by the Reviews Editor. However, interested reviewers can reach out to the Reviews Editor via email. Submitted reviews go through an evaluation process by the Review Editor and final approval by the Editor-in-Chief before publication.
Research Advances Section
Transformative Social Impact shares research advances to better understand social problems and identify promising, evidence-based interventions for community well-being. The Research Advances section accepts original research articles, white papers, research notes, and literature reviews. Multimedia submissions, such as podcasts and infographics, that present new research findings are also welcome.
Research article submissions undergo double-blind peer review, with final publication decisions made jointly by the Editor and assigned peer reviewers.
Community Voices Section
Transformative Social Impact amplifies diverse community perspectives on well-being and change. The Community Voices section accepts a range of submission types, including research articles, commentaries, case studies, policy briefs, fact sheets, podcasts, and infographics. These may cover social problems, policy issues, professional challenges, or promising community-based solutions and insights.
The purpose of the Community Voices section is to shine a light on both the successes and challenges facing communities, to foster constructive dialogue and progress. Submission guidelines are available in the Author Guidelines and Guidelines for Multimedia Submissions.
