Interactive Employee Engagement Model Tool

About This Tool

This interactive model visualizes the complex relationships between key drivers of employee engagement across different demographic groups. Based on rigorous research with over 550 employees, it reveals how traditional engagement factors (like clear expectations and supervisor support) influence engagement both directly and through activating mediators (like sense of purpose and belonging).

How to Use This Tool

  1. Select Demographic Filters: Use the dropdown menus at the top to filter results by gender, race, generation, and organizational tenure.

  2. Highlight Pathways: Choose specific engagement pathways to highlight the most important connections for different aspects of engagement.

  3. Click "Analyze Model": This updates the visualization to show which factors matter most for your selected demographic groups.

  4. Explore Connections: Click on any connection line to see detailed statistical information about that relationship, including its strength and significance.

  5. Click Elements: Select any box in the model to see all its connections and learn how it influences engagement.

  6. View Recommendations: Based on your selections, the tool generates evidence-based recommendations to improve engagement for specific demographics.

The diagram uses color-coding to distinguish different types of factors: red boxes for traditional engagement predictors, blue for mediating variables, green for outcomes, purple for demographic moderators, and orange for contextual factors.

The methodological note provides detailed information about our research approach, variable measurements, and participant demographics for those interested in the technical aspects of the study.
