HCI Academy Recognized in the "Employee Learning & Development Initiative" Category of the Annual Anthem Awards

OREM, UTAH — January, 30, 2024 – The HCI Academy has been recognized in the "Employee Learning & Development Initiative" category in The 3rd Annual Anthem Awards.


This year’s Anthem Award Winners were selected from a pool of over 2,000 submissions from 44 countries by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS). Anthem judges are intellectually diverse leaders from across the impact industry with expertise that spans across the Anthem cause areas. IADAS members include: Heather Dowdy, Director of Product Accessibility, Netflix; Alex Amouyel, President & CEO, Newman’s Own Foundation; Noel Kinder, Chief Sustainability Officer, Nike; Shaniqua McClendon, Vice President of Politics, Crooked Media/Vote Save America; Rawle Andrews Jr., Esq., Executive Director, American Psychiatric Association Foundation; Alison Moore, CEO, Comic Relief US; Christina Lang, Vice President of North American Marketing, Mozilla; Michelle Waring, Steward for Sustainability and Everyday Good, Tom’s of Maine; and more.

The HCI Academy, the bronze winner in the "Employee Learning & Development Initiative" category offers a variety of micro-credential courses and certificates in human resources and organizational leadership. The courses are research-based and award-winning, and they help managers and leaders navigate complex organizational, leadership, and HR issues. The courses are also recognized by HRCI and SHRM for recertification credit. In addition to paid options, we offer free micro-credentials and certificates to public sector leaders to upskill their capabilities and increase impact.


The "Employee Learning & Development Initiative" category is described as: "Initiatives or programs created by a team or organization that seek to improve company culture, work environment or overall business strategy by engaging employees through learning or development programs including; courses, workshops, training and other initiatives."


The HCI Academy reskilling and upskilling offerings are intended to support and develop the leadership competencies and capabilities of global NGO, nonprofit, and other public sector leaders to help them maximize their potential and increase the collective social impact of their organization.


To date, over 50 public sector leaders from a dozen countries have completed free HCI micro-credentials and certificates. They have reported increased salaries, job performance, career satisfaction, HR and leadership expertise, and overall professional growth. 75% participation and 80% engagement.

By amplifying the voices that spark global change, the Anthem Awards are defining a new benchmark for impactful work that inspires others to take action in their communities. A portion of program revenue is allocated to the Anthem Award’s grant program, The Anthem Fund. This year the Anthem Fund partnered with Billion Oyster Project to support their work to restore and conserve New York’s waterways.
